Pure Fashion---Gratitude and Inspiration Provide the Winds of Change

When directors of Pure Fashion first agreed to stage mini "Pure Fashion" shows for Thomas Enterprises at Ashley Park, they had no idea how this step was leading them in a new "Holy-Spirited Direction"!

Here is the beautiful story of how thunderstorms prevailed on the afternoon of this initiative…and how these storms "opened the clouds in revelation" for Pure Fashion Atlanta directors, Rhonda Boyle and Laurie Flanigan.

Briefly, Thomas Enterprises requested the services of Pure Fashion at a huge community service celebration they were hosting at their latest metro mall, Ashley Park in Newnan.  PF Directors would never have considered turning down a request from Thomas Enterprises… as they've always been faithful supporters of Pure Fashion.  In gratitude, PF volunteers threw their efforts into planning and executing a day filled with fun and fashion.

The day was stormy from the outset all around metro Atlanta, but the skies remained clear and even sunny for the afternoon around a small perimeter of Ashley Park… (Yes, the Consecrated were surely praying!!!)  People claimed they had driven through driving rain to attend (from as far away as Flowery Branch!) and couldn't believe this small area remained unscathed!  An estimated 5 thousand people attended this event, and many were treated to Pure Fashion "mini" fashion shows.  The response was positive all around, and the directors left that day feeling as though it was a day well done.  Hundreds of moms and daughters were touched by the PF message, people signed up for further connection to PF in droves, and Thomas Enterprises and Dillard Executives were all pleased with the draw PF gave the event. However, this was NOT the end of the story…

When the directors of PF began looking at the results of their efforts closely, they realized that people had been touched by the exuberance of the models…person to person!   There were the PF models, inspiring girls and moms alike with one on one conversation, smiles, greetings and just plain old joy.  Who can resist the beauty of some of God's most innocent of creatures, all "pretty in pink"?  So, the Holy Spirit had planted the seed of apostolic change.

What does this mean?  Well, we all know that Pure Fashion Atlanta has presented large shows in the past (some of the largest in the southeast) and has been an inspiration to other Pure Fashion programs around the world.  Now, they are presenting a new format for the Pure Fashion Program. A new avenue to spread the word and increase the radius of the mission!  How are they going to do this?  Via the same event model as Ashley park…smaller more intimate venues but more of them!  Through prayer and planning, Rhonda and Laurie decided that the girls (PF models) should have multiple opportunities to tell their PF stories.  You probably recall that for the last two years at the Atlanta shows, some of the models had a chance to demonstrate their public speaking skills.  Their comments and viewpoints were well received and a source of inspiration for all attending  With the new event model, the girls will have the opportunity to reach more individuals with their personal convictions…one on one.

And so, as the Holy Spirit would have it…PF has now unveiled this new "line" of PF happenings.  With Dillard’s (Perimeter) providing the venue and clothing, the first of these mini-shows premiered September 10th!  I am happy to report, success was had by all.  Pure Fashion received another grace-given opportunity to “touch” more souls for Christ!  Dillard’s management was ecstatic that their volume was tripled by this event.   The truly beautiful fruit of this event was the fact that the Pure Fashion Models not only got a chance to spread their message, but also another opportunity to be of service to mankind by helping Dillard’s.  Another fine example of the efficacy of Christ!  So, what’s next on the agenda?

Also, say a little prayer for success…Belk’s has called the directors of Pure Fashion for a meeting… Seems they heard Dillard’s success story!
